confirming paypal address

is there a way to confirm your paypal address without adding a credit card or debt? The guy im sellig a 90 dollar CPU to doesnt have a confirmed address and doesnt know how to confirm it if he only has his checking on record..

yes, it involves faxing paypal a bunch of documents. see their help section for details.

If he has a checking account he may also have a Visa/MC debit card. It should be sufficient to verify his address instanteniously.

Yeah, it's called Alternate Address Confirmation. Basically, you fax PayPal some sort of proof of address (such as a utility bill in your name) and a photo ID and sometimes they want something else. After that, they mail you a confirmation code to the address you want to confirm. You type that code into a place on their website and that should do it. But the whole process does take a week, likely two. Best way is to call PayPal over the phone and ask how to start the process because it's a pain to find the steps on their website.

Well i think paypal has to put two small amounts into your credit/debt and then you confirm by saying what those amounts are. But that takes a while too...argg..

via the white pages, are a good idea to use, when selling stuff.

I have had the same land line # since September 1980.

Ask for a real name;street address/ phone number,
that can be confirmed, FTW.

That is just to verify your bank account. There are two things: Verified member, and Confirmed address.

Verified - 2 small deposits, type it in when you see them.

Confirmed - add a CC.
