That's a pretty intense claim to make based on 2 recent crashes don't you think, god only knows what happened with either, could have nothing to do with plane quality whatsoever.

The thing that gets me with both crashes is the lack of radio communications. If the pilots on this plane did not say what was going on, then it makes it look very suspicious for two planes in this short time to both crash without communication information.

No shit. Considering there are tens of thousands of flights a day in the US alone, it's extremely impressive that crashes aren't more frequent, regardless of cause.

If anything, the crash is probably an indictment of the airline's maintenance program, not the oem's build quality.

Yeah, even as a Boeing fanboy, I'm not going to regulate myself to thinking this is some sort of Airbus issue. Airbus is a world class manufacturer, with exceptional factory support to their customers.
As always, I'm always inclined to think it's human error with the flight crew or a failure in maintenance.

Must be completely normal for no time for communication and Boeing's to break up in flight then eh?

Oh please. This companies previous three "incidents" were all on boeing planes.

Here's a quote

"French Transport Minister Dominique Bussereau said:''The A310 in question was inspected in 2007 by the DGAC (French transport authorities) and they noticed a certain number of faults. Since then the plane had not returned to France,'' he told the I-tele television channel. ''The company was not on the black list but was subject to stricter checks on our part, and was due to be interviewed shortly by the European Union's safety committee.''

Seems to suggest the airline was super slack on maintenance.

Aren't most flights controlled by computers these days? I'm wondering if pilots don't get enough 'practice' because the plane is always being flown by computers.

I just flew on a Swiss Airbus back in April. It was nice and comfy. Good thing it didnt drop into the middle of the Atlantic.
