Damn, I was hoping he had founf a way to enable 8 pipelines in the 9600XT. Oh well, I guess I'll just wait for 420.

it's set to 1.5-2.4

That is a huge swapfile and a waste of space. Ideally you should set a static 512MB-512MB swap.

"wholly" s***, please don't tell me our 9700s and 9800s perform worse than his in better systems.

FreshPrince, just to be sure that 3DM03 isn't misplacing the decimal place, do you mind running FRAPS while you're running the benchmark and reporting what FRAPS shows in GT4?

Ok 2 things. One fresh prince your an idiot. Second u either photo shopped, stole it or its glitched and you know it. Your rig is not getting 10k. It is a glitch. People have gotten 20k on 3dmark03. U think its legit? Stop wasting everyones time and drown in a garbage can.

Beg to differ on this. 1.5 times your RAM set static is the norm, and anyone with that much RAM with a decent system has the HD space to do it.

First, I wouldn't recommend setting a static swap file in XP with decent hardware. New bus and HD technology make that little trick obsolete in my experience.

Second, if you look at the people with crazy 3dMark numbers they always score unreasonably hgh in nature (lowering IQ), though not that high. Of course 3dMark sucks, not in and of itself but as a system comparitor. The purpose of a benchmark is not me > you, but to discern changes in the system and their effects. Obviously, there's something wrong to produce those sorts of results, and to accuse someone of editting and calling them an idiot is more reflective of the character of the people that post that junk than the person with the anomalous results. Does a high 3dMark score earn you more money, get you laid, or increase your status in anything beyond a virtual community? And I thought I was a nerd! :p

bingo! that is why those who call me moron, idiot, or cheater don't deserve a direct response from me :p

I don't see how I can "photochop" my "bogus" results and send them to futuremark anyways...LMAO! It doesn't work that way boys and gurls...the data is sent either by way of XML or other forms of raw data extrapolation. I promise your their system isn't smart enough to gather info from a "photochopped" image I sent them

The fact that I posted a compare link says my numbers are infact legit(created by 3dmark03)..though rather skewed. No where in the thread did I say my system is > anyone else's, nor did I admit to the fact that my scores are conclusive of my system's performance. Those who are complaining and accusing me are either
1) jealous, they shouldn't be, see 1 sentence before this and/or
2) mad because their $2000 system can't beat my $900 system, again see 1 sentence before this or
3) work for futuremark, defending crappy software, once again see 1 sentence before this or
4) fools that did not read the entire thread...bc if they did, they would've realized that their accusations are in fact useless

if none of that sinks in...I guess I'll play the game with the rest of the morons:

ahha, my $150 video card is better than your $500 one....neener neener neener :p ;)

I know that this sounds a bit like the guy who bought the new car with the experimental carb installed and would get some ungodly gas milage. Hey if you get it - more power to you.

Yeah....

I'm wish I could get those kind of numbers - even if they are an anomoly.

FreshPrince, mind trying my suggestion and running FRAPS to confirm the GT4 score?

when ppl had 128mb of ram maybe. i see fewer and fewer people recommending this anymore, because it's simply not needed. if you're running 1-1.5gb of ram you should NEED that big of a swapfile.
