Just a glitch. Pat yourself on the back, you truly deserve it!

ya, I know it's more like a software bug...not a glitch, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to duplicate the results. Unless..it was a double glitch 😛

I'm interested to see how others with similar specs and CAT4.1 are performing though...

3dMark 2001 TOP score for 3.2ghz + Radeon 9800XT for NATURE TEST hovers around 150FPS, that's a test with some direct x 8.0 features mostly 7.0.

3dMark 2003 TOP score for 3.2ghz + RAdeon 9800XT for NATURE TEST is around 40-50FPS, thats a test with some dirext x 9.0 features, mostly 8.0

Your same setup with a Radeon 9600 XT gets 199FPS? I am sorry but thats BS.

All i have to say you are a very very lucky man to be able to consistently reproduce this glitch for kicks

Sorry to dissapoint you....you dont have R420 chip in your 9600 by mistake.

:Q me too, my 9700pro beats his hands down except for the nature test
and my total score is only around 5800.

calm down peeps, everyone and their daddy knows there's a bug in there somewhere...but I challenge you to duplicate my results 😛

Who can make their system pump out higher 3DMark03 scores by mistake? 😀

Obviously I don't have a miracle GPU...unless Saphire put one in for me 😉

However, I do find it extremely funny that without my doing anything but having stock settings and drivers, I'm topping the charts 😎

Goes to show ya...this bench progie is faulty and should not be taken seriously.

Other people have had 10k 3D Mark03 scores before.

They're not up because the scores get removed when the people who run the site realise they are there. Someone has already posted about your score (not me) and I guess it'll be removed fairly soon. There's an entire thread in the Futuremark forums "devoted" to incorrect scores (15 pages long).

why they gotta be like dat? 🙁

oh well, guess I should enjoy my day in the sun while I still can 🙂

Well, after reading this I thought I have to try the newer Cats. I haven't been keeping up on the benches, I tend to use 3dMark03 only for stability testing (with Prime95). I ran 5900 last time I ran it, and after 4.1 I scored 5960. I can go a little higher w/o artifacting, but these are adjusted down slightly on the o/c for stability. I score 5450 while running Prime95 concurrently.

NE1 out there with a similar system replicating my results? Or am I just the lucky one 😉

Just to be sure, I will run it a 3rd time, brb.

Why don't you try uninstalling 3Dmark '03 and reinstalling it? Or download a 'fresh' one and installing that one?

Amazing how only one section of the test can throw off the score so much.

My setup basically doubles every score you get except nature.

the interesting thing is...are you *really* getting 199fps in nature ??? what does fraps say ? if yes.... does it otherwise render normal, without any graphical quality glitches etc ???
