update and confirmed!: 10816 :p

10982

P4 2800@3262
Kingston PC3200 HyperX - 512x2 = 1GB RAM
Abit IC7-Max3
Saphire 9600XT 128MB
WD 36GB Raptor

This score is a bit shocking to me as I ran it on my sister's comp and she only got 3856, her specs are:

P4 2.4 533MHz fsb
Generic PC2100 512x2 = 1GB RAM
Intel Mobo
GeXCube 9600XT 128MB
WD 100GB JB

The specs really aren't that different...cept maybe the RAM and HDD...oh and no overclock. However, I am truely shocked that my other system is kicking butt like this....and I don't even have the latest GPU! I can only imagine what my scores will be if I'm running with a 9800XT

Can anyone confirm these scores? Or are they too low?

btw, I know not everyone likes 3dmark2003 for benchmarking...but it's all I got for now )

That's way too high for a 3DMark03 score. You shouldn't be getting much more than your sister's computer.

10k in '03, stop dreamin' ;) That '01 score is a little low for a 9600XT with a overclocked P4@3.26ghz on a dual channel board like that.

I was thinking that too...I thought it would be more around 5000...not 10982! I'll run it agian just to make sure it's not a glitch.

Well seeing as the highest submitted result in the FM database using a P4EE and 9800XT both heavily overclocked is sub 10k you can rest assured it's "a glitch" or you aren't running the default bench ;)

I am running what ever the bech loads up 1st, all I did was click run bench button, that's it. Anyways, when I get a change, I will re-run the bench, can't right now with people around me :)

I'm suspicious, have you installed Patch 340? Have you disabled Large System Cache? Is the program running at it's default system priority setting? Are the test settings at defaults?

Can't think of anything else right now...

what is patch 340? if you are referring to the version of 3dmark2003...I just downloaded it

disabled large system cache? where, how to? why?

default system priority setting? again where, how to? why?

Everything is @ default, I'm puzzled myself.

otho, I will say one thing...the new CATs rock! I couldn't even run the stupid bench before them...the system would always crash out to the desktop. However, after I installed the new drivers today, rebooted, and ran the bench...

I walked away to answer a helpdesk call...came back and saw the score, was shocked!

I will rerun as soon as I get a chance. stay posted :)

Post your results to the futuremark site and give the compare address. Something is out of whack. The highest score for any 9600 series card is currently 4850. And thats with a P4 at 3500Mhz and the card clocked to 616/370. The highest score of anything on the site is currently 9730. Thats a P4 at 4228 Mhz (good god, lol) and a 9800XT at 657/456. I don't even know if anybody has broken 10k yet.

Crap. There must be an error because my 9600 Pro doesn't make an average of 199FPS in Mother Nature. :Q
