So, my current set-up consists of two desktops, one downstairs and one upstairs. My downstairs PC is hooked up to a modem/router, and the upstairs computer connects to the internet via a wireless adapter. At the moment, however, we can't join the same CS server, presumably due to both of our IPs being the same. Is there a way to get around this without purchasing a second connection?

I know this was a problem in NWN, if two people from the same IP address connected to a server it would start to have a lot of problems. However we were able to solve it by changing which port was used to connect to the server; there may be an ini setting you could alter.
