i have a network printer installed into my main router
i installed the drivers for it and selected the port by pressing the print information from the printer and using that ID as the ip address for the printer
the prb is that it seems the router changes the ip address for this connection from time to time and i then have to print out what the new address is and change all my drivers
i think this occurs only when i unplug the router but none the less its a pain
how do i make the router always use a specific ip for this printer
i have the buffalo 125

the problem is not the router. The printer is set to use dhcp, when it really should have a static IP. If you cannot easily reserve an IP in the router for it, then configure the network printer to use a static IP.
