Configuration Tips

Need to make PC configuration which would be hvy duty pc for music studio work... would be prolly working 24/7 with high memm/proccesor usage...

Price should be around 1000 Euros w/o monitor but with some cheap/good display dual head card for twin view...

I was thinking something around:

1/2 raptors for buffering/system

raid(2x7200rpm discs) for HD recording

4GB of fast dual-channeled RAM

Best processor(s)/motherboard that i can get for this money

Any suggestions for this kind of configurations would be welcome, im kinda in the hurry.... cheers! 🙂

16 +32 channel mixer with protools with software plugins(alot of them, therefor alot of memmory/processing power needed) and some other stuff(its 100k+ euros studio)... all in all... i need all processing power i can get for 1k euros(w/o monitor and good video card that should be sufficient i think)...

Truthfully, I don't know if anybody on this site will be able to help you with a project like that, but it's worth a try...

I just need advice about which hardware to use to squeeze most processing power from 1k euros on classic desktop PC... not counting monitor/soundcard/video card which are not important in this case...

Im programmer myself,just im not too familiar with new hardware stuff(dual cores, new mem types etc...)

I have all things connected... just need "the brain"...

Hope this made things clear... i just need advice about hardware and few tips how to setup that on motherboard/bios to work best with heavy duty 24/7 processing work...
