Sorry this is an awful post but I feel like ******...

vision is kinda blotchy/blurred, headache. Got an elbow in the back of the head during bball.
Go to sleep? take motrin? eat?

What else.

Just got back... Did a ctscan and all that stuff and found no injuries. I puked more at the hospital, they strapped me to an IV which included some anti-nausea stuff.
Head still hurts a bit but way way less than before...
I'll post a pic of the little vomit baggy they gave me tomorrow if ppl want anti-shens proof.

Thank you all for your concern, and if I had to do it all over again I'd still have gone to the Hospital. Better safe than sorry.

 
Is this your first concussion?

I've had 4 from hitting stuff while skiing, I normally take some Ibuprofen and sit on my ass until I feel better.

If it were just a headache I'd say just take something. But the fact that you got hit in the back of the head and are having vision problems is not good. If it were me, I'd have someone take me to the ER. Head/brain injuries are not to be trifled with.

Um, yeah, if you got hit in the head and are having these symptoms, definitely get to a doctor right away. Not a good idea to take chances with head injuries, especially when showing many common symptoms of a concussion.
 
Gee, with those symptoms, I sure hope he has someone to drive him there, instead of trying to do it himself...

I'm in an all frosh dorm where no-one has the car. I literally can't find any CA's either.

It's Friday night at 10. A lot of folks are already out partying or at the teams opening bball game.

Symptoms include: severe headache; inability to walk; no energy, vomiting repeatedly; loss of memory; and repetition of sentences.

I mean you should know by the way you feel if you were seriously injured. Though we all hear the stories about the people who fall asleep and never wake up again. For some of us that's not a bad thing.

If you had that bad of head pain you wouldn't be here posting - you would be calling for an ambulance or in panic to find someone who had a car. Of course I'm not a specialist and I serve no duty of care. (legal stuff)

At the back of the head, he could easily have a mild brain stem injury.
They will do a scan at the ER and determine if there's dangerous swelling, either keep him for observation or send him home.

I've banged my head dozens of ways but never puked because of it.
IMO those two together deserve an ER trip, might be exhaustion, dehydration, food poisoning or the flu... but that's no reason to risk permanent brain damage or death...
