Concerts. I'v never been to one. What do I need to know?

Tickets are $70 after all the fees. I don;t know if it's worth the $150 tickets + $50 in gas + parking and crap

I'll just buy the CD... :\

Thanks though!

Metal, bluegrass, blues and Rock and Roll. One of the concerts that stands out in my mind was one of the last concerts of the Grateful Dead before Garcia died. I kid you not, the average age was about 14. WTF did they know about the Dead?

You should have angrily shouted "What the fuck do you know about the Grateful Dead?" while waving your cane at them.

I doubt those guys are worth $10. A live show should do something different than the recording. That's where you experiment, stretch out, and tweak the arrangements. What can those two possibly do that's different than the CD?

Hell if I know. I've never been to one of their concerts 😉
Jay-Z did release death of autotune at a concert

IMO the concert is for the show.

Have concerts gotten any better? I stopped going in the late 80's early 90's because the average age was 14.

Young people can't afford to go to concerts anymore. It's insane how much they cost. I've been to a couple of free outdoor concerts, and a few very cheap indoor concerts by small-time bands, but I doubt I'll ever go see an internationally famous band in concert because of the price.

A piece of wadded napkin works well enough. For infrequent application, you don't need certified standards.

There will be music and peeples...Oops...looking at the venue, you can cross off the music part...instead, there will be noise and peeples...and probably shootings and drugs.

Be careful where you stand. I went to a concert once, and spent like 4 hours standing three inches from one of the bass speakers.

My inner balance was off for days. I had the worst hiccups after the concert, for like 6 hours straight.

Take earplugs just in case. Also, resolve right now not to get too tense or uptight if people are in close proximity to you - people nudge and bump at a concert, it's expected.

Holy shit, earplugs? Hiccups???? What the fuck is wrong with you nancy boys? You people actually pay 100.00 for a fucking ticket? Christ, when I went to my first concert ( oh shit, here we go...) I paid 8 bucks to see the Atlanta Rhythym Section and Kansas back in 1981. Got me a 2nd row seat right in front of those big loud hiccup inducing speakers!!!!! This was in Florida and almost every band either started or ended their tour there during the winter months. I went to about 300 concerts while in high school and the few years after. I remember almost not going to see the Rolling Stones because those bastards wanted 20.00 a fucking ticket! The nerve of those guys! Saw the two loudest shows almost back to back, Jethro Tull and Deep Purple about 4 days apart and I really thought I did some permanent damage to my ears. Dizzy, disoriented. That was well after the acid had worn off too. 😉

Peace

i like how your rant goes from "nancy boys wearing ear plugs" to total regret and completely confirming the need for earplugs.

😀
