Concerning farts

Ok so heres the deal. I love the smell of my own farts. Seriously. Whenever I fart in private, I always bend down after to get a big wiff of the smell. It smells pleasant to me. Mind you I don't like the smell of other people's farts.

I also enjoy smelling my feet when their stinky, my underarms, and various other smells my body produces that most would find offensive.

Now heres my question to you: Am I alone in this freakishly weird hobby? or are there other people out there who share my fancy?

Actually, i'll agree with you here. I have a habit of taking a deep breath every time I fart... but definately hold my breath when someone else does. I also tend to smell my toenails from time to time after I've clipped them. So many people here are in denial.

Seems there are a lot of closet fart sniffers out there. 10 yes votes.

I don't like farts of any kind, but as a kid I used to love gasoline and exhaust type smells, internal combustion fart in a sense. School bus pulls up next to me = heaven. Seems it's more likely to give me a slight headache these days though.

common guys! This is the internet and anominiinity (spelling!) is the advantage we all share! Be brave like Sir Chadwick and make me feel like I'm normal!!!!

btw: just to let you guys know....

I attend a good college getting a 3.5 GPA
I am not gay.
I love computer games, basketball, MArtial arts, and movies.
I'm not some 50 yr old weirdo living at home with my mom, I'm a normal guy with an active social life and goals for the future.

Fart smelling is like sexuality. It is niether A nor B, but more of a continuum of behavior as described by Kinsey. Bending over and taking a whiff is WAY down there on the other end of the continuum.

It's natural. People are loathe to admit it because it's a reference to our membership in the animal kingdom, and many here are devoutly religious and abhor the idea we share a genetic link with primates and lesser beasts. Seriously, I've never come across a forum - especially a technology-based one - as "good-ole'-boy" as AT. That being said, with a habit of at least a pot of coffee a day, I've had to leave the room on occasion when I've been its only occupant - after driving my dog out. Not sure what exactly it is about coffee, but man...
