Concern about Ninja Sycthe

Well, my Ninja came in today about 5 mins ago.
I opened it and amazed at the sheer size.

nonetheless, I took careful examination and notice something that might be a problem or not.
For those who has the NINJA.. pls tell me if its a problem or not.

Near the copper base, there is 4 "hooks" that swings.

2 of them are stiffed which i assume is the proper way, 1 is so-so and the last one is flimsy to say the least.
it just swings with the slightest movement on the ninja...

IS THIS OKAY? should I return it? or it doesnt matter once its locked into place.

Secondaly.. in the box, comes the screwed, instruction and whatnot.. there is also 2 "bars" for the lack of better word.
nothing is really wrong with that but notice how sensitve and WEAK that is.
Its can easily be bendable.. if it all, it might be a tad tad mis aligned but I think people should know about it, I'll post pics later if noone understands what I said.

OKAY HERE IS THE PICS:

The Clip/Hinge feels loose, 2 are stiff, the other is so-so

The bracket thing that can easily bend

Showing how big it is..

no idea what you're saying right now, but I got a scythe ninja too and the looseness or stiffness of the hooks/clips doesnt matter once its installed.

post your pics so we know what your talking about  Im considering getting one of these so it'd be interesting to see what probs your are having with yours anyway. 🙂

Thanks for that. Hmmm, those clips certanly do look flimsy, and that is one BIG heatsink. IF you are concerned about it falling of you could try mounting it and if you have a tower case, lay it on its side and see how things are for a few days. Maybe even apply some of your own force to the heatsink (NOT TOO MUCH) if you do try laying your case flat just to see whethere the retention mechanism is working properly.

Although, if you really feel that the quality is not up to standard id take it back without installing it. I have heard its a great cooler from many people though so im sure it'll all come right, just take it easy.

btw: incase you didnt know, the "bars", or clips as i would call them are so you can mount 120mm fan on one of the sides

yeah those 2 brackets, bars, clips are for the optional fan.. but I just wanted to point out for everyone, its very sensative.. id say its like a paperclip weak instead of a clothing hanger wire.

that Ninja is huge... my cooler master looks so small next to it when its only 4 1/2''.
Im still waiting for the rest of my items to come, I will than check with the Ninja when I mount it.

However, for those who have purchased a ninja, can they confirmed if all 4 clips/hinge/hooks were stiffed or loose?

I just installed this monster on my AMD X2 processor. The clips are loose when not mounted. Mounted is a pain since the clips are very stiff and it need some pressure to mount on the processor. Once done it is very secure. A very important thing is to keep the fins perpendicular to the ground to allow the heat to dissipate or the temp will rise to 70 C. The wires/brackets for fan mounted can be bent easily which was helpful when I installed fan using these. It might look flimsy but when mounted is very tight.
