I suddenly noticed my minimized windows are no lomger straight edged but slightly bowed in
what is this and what can I do to fix it
 
Sounds like you probably just need to reset/adjust your monitor settings (pincushion, barrel, tilt, trapezoid). It seems unlikely that this condition could result from your graphics driver/software but it is possible. Most modern LCDs have a reset feature which applies the factory default settings.
