Dag I'm surprised. I thought Fox would be a perfect fit. No one watches TBS :\

Now I'm definitely feeling bad for him. He should still be on NBC. Oh well, I'll watch every night still.

Going to see him on tour in a couple weeks 😀

Apparently his budget is the same as it was when he was on the Tonight Show so it's not going to be a super low budget show. I think this is actually a good fit for him. He's going to be the star of the network and he's got complete creative control. Also, there's going to be less pressure for him to get good ratings on TBS. With Fox, he'd have to win over a lot of the affiliates.

Yeah tbs scored well with this one. To get a solid lead show to try to catch a sizeable amount of the audience to pool over to lopez tonight which is probably tanking in terms of tonight shows.

Seems it's not a sure thing yet if we will get Conan's new show in Canada yet. Seems TBS is peachtree here and they may not pick up the new show.

If that's the case it would be an extremely stupid move on their part. I'd be surprised if their advertisers did not strongarm them into it, considering the ratings his show will get, at the very beginning at least and probably going forward.

Canadian broadcast laws FTL.

According to Wikipedia:
Due to a CRTC technicality, cable and satellite companies in Canada are only permitted to carry the over-the-air Atlanta station, and therefore most now carry WPCH ("Peachtree TV") instead of the nationwide TBS channel that American viewers receive.[1] This dated back to prior to the change, when TBS programming was offered to Canadian viewers through WTBS, not the national cable channel. Many cable companies were apparently unaware of the changeover until after it occurred.[2] As a result, should Canadian cable companies wish to air "cable" TBS, it will be several months before the necessary approvals are received. It is also available in the Philippines and the United Kingdom on their various cable providers.

The CRTC is the bane of good entertainment. They are the reason we can't have Netflix streaming and a tonne of other good stuff we should be able to. Way to keep us in the last century assholes. 🙄
