Oh, and if Arnold could continue to prove to be fiscially conservative while maintaining his socially liberal status, I wouldn't mind him in the Whitehouse (pending Constitutional change of course).
 
It's too bad he won't actually join the Libertarian party.

I suspect this is because:

1. Libertarian who? (very few know who they are)

2. There's no money in it. Libertarians don't take money from special interest groups etc etc.

3. Americans generally understand either Democrat or Republican. They don't speak or understand Libertarian. Perhaps when the 2 party system is shattered they will.

Arnold on the other hand can sell some of these ideals under the flag of one or the other parties.

We need Condorcet voting for the third parties to have a chance.
