I remember the daily show playing a clip of O'Reilly arguing about people saying "merry christmas" and "happy holidays" and he says something like, "I don't see how anyone could be offended by the phrase "merry christmas."

Then they play a clip of him later in the show, and his guest says "what's wrong with just saying "happy holidays", and O'Reilly says "because that phrase is offensive to me."

You screwed that up. O'Reilly said that a two word phrase couldn't possibly be offensive to someone, and then later said that happy holidays is offensive to him.

O'Riely appeals to those frustrated with life in general as he can verbally lash out at anything that might not sit well with him on air while his fans can only lash out at their TV. In a sense he does that little segment of America a great service and probably saves a lot of wives and girlfriends from a beating. Now not all who watch him are fans, a lot who watch him do so because they are amused at his logic, tactics and general buffoonery. It's like coming across an accident on your daily comute to work, you just can't help but look.

That's why I watch. BTW he is 10 times more extreme on the radio than on TV.

You're probably thinking of Letterman. Conan doesn't do serious interviews or arguments...infact he tries to make every interview about himself, so it's unlikely Conan would even care what Bill O' Riley said.

Actually, i remember the one time O' Riley was on Conan, and Conan kissed his ass and agreed with him on everything, i think Conan is a closet republican.

you've obviously never seen him talking with authors of history books. he isn't always a clown.

pssst... its called M I 6 not M 1 6, sure he might have read it wrong, but if you are using it as a basis of your argument then with a well thought out argument would require you to know a few things about that said argument, sadly he obviosly doesnt
