I definately will NOT be watching.
Way to quote the very last lyric of the song.

Maybe if you're lucky Jimmy Kimmel will devote an hour to Micheal Jackson.

I was going to quote the entire song but decided to save them the embarassment.

I wont be watching just because the musical guest is the part where I go to sleep... and if the whole show is musical, nighty-night!

It's not that I don't like their music...they're just so goddamn sanctimonious!

Remember that family guy episode? "No Peter, we can't eat that food...it's for the poor starvin' children of the world!"

They wern't joking.

So not liking someone's music means I can't think for myself?

I find their music boring, repetative and more about trying to be flashy and creative than being worth the time listening to.

If U2 were just starting out today with the stuff they are putting out now, they'd be nobodies.

That, and I dislike it when bands make music not for the sake of music, but for making a political standpoint.

Yeah music about Ho's, bling and busting a cap in some MoFo's ass is much prefferable:roll:

There's plenty of rock and alternative rock that beats the hell out of listening to U2...definately not the junk known as rap.

Again, I don't understand how not liking a particular band means someone is a "moron who can't think for themselves". Give me a f**king break...damn U2 fanboy's.

My statement was directed at people who don't like U2 because other people don't like U2. There are plenty of them running around here. We'll call them anti-U2 fanboys because they can't make up their own mind on why they don't like them, they just chime in and say they don't for the sake of being cool. You know who I'm talking about.

It's also been my experience when an insult is leveled upon people, those people it doesn't apply to don't spend their time responding, because they know it doesn't apply to them. So your reply says a lot about you. ;):D

Ouch...that stung. :p ...and I don't like U2 simply because you do. ;)

Chill Weasel, nobodies calling you a Moron unless you are one of those who hate U2 just be to "In"

U2's not my favorite but I don't hate them because they are political. I personally think Vertigo is a catchy song but not one of their classics. I also laugh when idiots repeat the very last lyric in that song claiming that it's the main Chorus of the song which isn't. I can understand though how people could be sick of that song due to the constant Ipod commercials featuring that song. It's the same for the one good song Franz Ferdinand has that's featured in the PSP commercial. I use to think it was catchy and now it's annoying as hell to me thanks to that commercial.

Who said I liked U2? I didn't, I'm just railing against the morons who bash them and other things to be "cool". You know what they say about assuming things! :D

BTW, I do like their older stuff contained on their greatest hits CD. I haven't found good reason to purchase their latest CD though. I'm an 80's music fan, so I like just about anything released in that timeframe.

God how I hate U2. I love Conan though, so I guess I can forgive this one indiscretion. ;)

I enjoy U2's music... but they are absolutely, insanely... HUGELY overrated! there music is a notch above mediocre if they are lucky.

Maybe I just haven't caught the vision yet, but I'm sorry, it's true. U2 somehow got the ball rollin on the "it's popular to love U2" boat and now you get called a moron if you don't like them. They must have some amazing marketing strategists I guess

I have to disagree. I'm not a fan of U2 today. Achtung Baby was the last CD I bought until Vertigo and it's just average. HOWEVER, if you go back and listen to everything through Joshua Tree and some of Rattle and Hum you have to admit that they were pretty ground breaking. Remember that they were as young as 17 when they released Boy. How many 17 year olds do you know that can play guitar, write lyrics, and put them into a song as well as U2 did? Definately not overrated.
