Computers in a metal shop..

I've got a semi-unique problem, involving about a dozen CAD stations in a metalshop environment...

Does anyone know of some decent filters that won't require too much maintenance etc. that I can place on the monitors and/or boxes to keep them from getting to much metallic dust, smoke, etc in them?

The machine shop won't be running while the computers are actually in use.

I can't move them to another room, even though I wish I could, so please don't suggest that.

I use those house vent filters for keeping dust and whatnot out of my pretty things, about 3$ for 20 or so, they cut into about 2 or 3 80mm fan sizes, easily replaced.

plastic back + duct tapes + air duct 😛

Extremely low tech.
But how about a drop cloth like those used in painting.
Toss it over the equipment when the machine shop is running.
Remove when not .
Simple and cheap

I was thinking that as well Modelworks.

Perhaps I'll suggest that the metalshop be in operation in the afternoon, and the CAD stations in the morning so that the dust has had an entire night to settle before the PC's are booted up for the morning.

put computers in a booth maybe. Kind of like a self contained environment. Mainly I suggest separating the computers and put them along one wall and then enclose them like a shop office.
