I have 2 computers, one is running windows 2000 pro, and the other running windows xp pro. They are running Firenet by unibrain softare which basicly makes an 1394 (firewire) port emulate a network adapter (this part you can just ignoor, i dont think its the problem). So my problem is both computers are hooked up via a firewire cable and tcp/ip is enabled. Both computers have been assigned network ips:
computer 1:
ip: 192.168.0.1
subnet: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.0.1
computer 2:
ip: 192.168.0.2
subnet: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.0.2
Both computers are able to ping eachother, yet they cannot see eachother in network neighborhood. Filesharing is enabled and stuff are shared, but i cannot get them to see eachother!! bleh? Can someone help me out.
