I just flashed the bios on my iwill kk266. I now can't turn my computer off. When I shut down from windows, it just resets itself. It does the same thing if I hit the power button as the computer is booting. I had the march bios, and have tried all of the newer ones. They all cause the same problem. I'm not interested in going back to the march bios because I need to use my usb at the higher fsb. Any ideas? Ever heard of this?

Should be a setting in your BIOS for it.. something about Rebooting when Power Out/Loss. Look around, you'll find it.. change it to Stay Off or something similar.

just looked all around the bios and didn't find anything about powerloss. I have everything disabled that could wake it up. This is so confusing

Make sure your video drivers and sound drivers are installed properly! Also check to see if any of your programs are runnin when you shutdown. You can do this by alt, tab ,delete at desktop. If that doesnt work try pullin out your sound card, then shut down, next do the same thing with your modem ,and net card, if you have one.let me know if this helps you.REMEMBER ONLY ONE CARD AT A TIME.

Well does it reboot to desktop or just hang up?My response is in reference to system not shutting down and hanging up,not rebooting at shutdown. So what your sayin is that it restarts when you go to shutdown?

The system does shut down. It is almost like restarting the computer, but I completely lose power for a split second. I cannot keep the computer off unless I pull the power plug or cut the switch on the power supply. I know its not a windows issue because it does the same thing before an os is even loaded. If I hit the power button, it shuts down for a split second and then restarts.

I'll give it a whack :)
Go into bios look for the power down option (Power Management Setup). Power button instant off/4 sec. Also, State after Power Loss= OFF
Give that a whirl
