computer wont start

This morning I tried to turn my PC on and I find that it wont display anything. It posts and after that the screen stays blank, one time the video cards fan went crazy and another time it showed the mobo splash screen but thats it.

Any help would be appreciated


Forgot to mention it was overclocked to 4.0ghz

Msi p55a-gd65
8GB vengence ram
Evga gtx 570 SC
Hitachi 1tb hd
Coolermaster gx750
Windows 7 home edition 64bit

Check cable connections
Reseat GPU
Replace GPU

I resat it once and thats when the msi splash screen finally came on

can you boot to safe mode?

No it wont get that far the monitor keeps going into low power safe mode shortly after as if I turned off my PC

Have you checked the monitor?
Tried different cables?
Can you get to the BIOS?
Checked your MB/GPU for blown caps?
Reset CMOS?

I believe it's the gpu I can hear the fan ramp up higher and higher until the monitor shuts off
