ok, so my computer seems to be completly dead; power supply, fans, nothing starts up. It has been working fine for two years, but then a few weeks ago i put it into standby, came back, and it was off--and it wouldnt come back on.
ok so heres what i have:
MSI k8n Neo 2 platinum motherboard
OCZ 3200 DDR ram (2 X 512)
AMD 3200
Antec 400W/ OCZ 600W (tried both, neither worked)
6800 GT by MSI
ok, so first i thought, since nothing was coming on, it could be a psu issue. Swapped my antec 400W with the OCZ 600W and still got nothing. Second, i disconnected all my drives, gfx, ram, and just kept the Mobo plugged into PSU, and still the fans of the PSU/mobo wouldnt turn on. I tried with and without ram, but still, its completly dead.
So my question is, is my mobo dead? Even if it was, should the PSU still turn on as long as it was plugged into a mobo? Any tips on what to do/try or what could be the culprit?
Im leaning towards mobo, but not sure. Thanks in advance!
