Computer won't shut down!

I'm hoping I can get some help on my second computer. System specs:
Asus P5A-B, bios 1010
AMD K6III-450, not overclocked
Viper 770, TNT2, 32mb (non-ultra), I used V770 and Nvidia 6.18 and 6.31 drivers
Maxtor 7.0g
PC133 64mb generic
USR 56k winmodem
Asound ISA soundcard
I re-installed win98se, installed rain, realplayer 7 and drivers for soundcard. I clicked start>shutdown and gave me a BSOD! Tried different drivers still the same. Here's what it said:
An exception OE has occurred at 0028:C26071D4 in Vxd. This was called from
0028:C182C8D8 in Vxd.
Any suggestions?

Hmm, don't know for sure, but it definitely appears to be some kind of driver problem. Try using an older 5.xx series driver for your TNT2.

2 other suggestions, turn off or uninstall Rain. Try the same with Realplayer, but do each separately and restart after each uninstall.

It also seems to generate a continuous "Computer won't shut down!" post on this BBS...very strange problem.
