i included the link above from the exact memory i have

Er....an Athlon XP 1700+ doesn't run at 1700MHz. It runs at 1466MHz.

hehe ya thx for your reply m8 ,umm yea i know it doesn;t run at 1700 mhz just wanted to make sure 133/100/33mhz was the correct setting

It's been a while since I've set up a system, but doesn't 133/100/33 correspond to FSB/Memory/PCI? If so, then your memory is only running at 100Mhz and since you have PC2100 memory, that's just wrong. Perhaps you can enter your BIOS and set your memory settings a little more conservative so you can at least get your memory bus up to 133Mhz...that can make a significant difference in system speed.

the machine runs stable at 133/100/33mhz ,usin 133/133/33mhz the computer reboots it self and i get blue screens and nothing can be accomplished ,so i dunno any suggestions?

If your running your memory spd (default settings). And it won't hit 133 (which is what its rated at) then send it back, sounds like a bad stick.
