Complete system in sig.

Asus p4c800-e deluxe. I went to boot it up and I get an error stating "bad bios checksum. starting BIOS recovery"

it reads the cd-rom and it says reading file... completed. start flashing...

and it just hangs and won't complete.

any ideas? will pulling the CMOS battery do anything? should i try a different CD to flash with? even though it reads the file properly? thanks for help!

ok i was able to flash it and get it into windows one time. but now everytime i restart it tells me the same thing. I can flash it succesfully and then it just gives me the error again.

"Bad BIOS Checksum"

Asus says my Flash ROM is no good and I can send it back to them to re-program it or order a new one. I just decided to get a new one but does anybody know if it has to be soldiered back in or if they snap in?
