Computer Won't Keep Correct Time & Date

My son's compyter's BIOS would not keep the correct time and date, so I figured it was time ti replace the CMOS battery.

Even after replacing the CMOS battery, it still won't keep the correct time and date. Is there anything else I can try?

I have a computer that loses or gains a second or two quite erratically. Like your experience, replacing the battery did not fix the problem. As I am sure you know there is a neat little -- and I do mean little -- program called Atom Time Pro that sets the motherboard clock to NIST time every time you boot up -- and on command if you wish.

I'll check it out, but the computer date is off by years! When I looked at it today, it was 2003.
