Computer won't boot past the first BIOS screen

Problem started when my sister kept pushing the PC's power button to get it to turn off or restart or something. Well now upon restart the BIOS screen comes up and then stays there. The keyboard doesn't do anything (tried multiple keyboards too), so pressing DEL or F10 doesn't do anything either. The BIOS beep code does give its usual one good beep, fortunately.

I already tried (twice) removing the CMOS battery and clearing the CMOS memory with the jumper. Thought that would do the trick, but didn't. I also re-seated the memory. Still nothing.

Any ideas on what should/can be done next?

Here are some relevant specs:
MSI K8N Neo NForce3 Socket 454 motherboard
Athlon 64 3400+ CPU
Corsair DDR 3200 memory
Windows XP Pro

May have damaged the motherboard. Considering the age of the PC you may not be able to find a replacment.

Yeah i'm hoping nothing like that happened. Maybe the CMOS was damaged somehow by the continual pressing of the power button. I don't know.

Try disconnecting your CD drives, putting in different RAM, and disconnecting your hard drives.

I disconnected all the peripherals... still nothing. Don't have another memory module to stick in. Any other ideas?...

Won't boot to anything. But I'll have to put in another hd just to make sure, and i'll try switching the power supply to see if it's the 12v rail...
