computer wont boot now

I started to play a game one day, and it made an error saying my hardware had changed, so I restarted the comp and it said the power cable wasnt hooked up to my graphics card. I took out the graphics card and saw that one of the power pins and the corresponding pin on the supplied connector was burnt black (heres some bad pictures of it) http://clemsonscc.com/gallery/albums/album68/68520291_213256493_0.jpg

So anyway I got a new graphics card (had a 9800pro, replaced with x1600pro agp) and installed it and it started up fine then froze at verifying dmi pool. I reset the bios and booted it back up and it did verifying dmi pool.......update success, then froze there.
What should I try doing next?
Sorry for the long post, any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, if it's showing something on the screen the card is working right? So that means it may be a power issue.

What's your power supply wattage?

Its an Antec 350w

Stalling at the Verifying DPI {"DMI", where'd that "P" come from?} Pool Data stage is pretty common. Do some searches for it on Google. I had it happen at least once a couple of years ago, but I forget what it was. Something simple, though. I do agree that no matter whose PSU you have in there, even if it's a "Good Brand", if there has already been one anomalous behavior that could be blamed on power in killing the prior VGA card, you should be using a backup PSU now, and taking the Antec that was in there to somewhere that it can be thoroughly tested, and if faulty, Antec offers some warranty coverage, that could get you a new PSU if it's not too old, perhaps.

Well I didnt think it was the power supply that caused the graphics card pin to burn, I talked to Antec customer service about it, I thought the power supply may have still been ok. I might still just send it in to them to get it checked out just incase.
If the power supply was bad though, would it cause it to hang at verifying dmi pool?

Replace your power supply before it destroys more of your components. A 350W is insufficient for that card anyway.
