Hi there guys this is my first post so please bear with me.

I was having dificulties with my GPU (HD 7770) it kept going back into idle mode after 5-10 minutes of gaming.

I had the bright idea of taking it out and removing all the drivers and then re-installing it again.

problems is now my pc wont boot at all, it start to beep and then stays turned on with the monitor not receiving a signal.

Could somebody please give me any ideas on how to solve this problems.

my pc specs

FX-8350 CPU
Asrock Extreme 970 Mobo
HD 7770 GPU
western Digital 1TB hard drive
Tesla 750W PSU

Those beeps you're hearing are called beep error codes. They can help determine the problem. Carefully listen to the pattern of the beeps, and the duration of each individual beep (beeps are described as being either "short" or "long"), then post back here with exactly what you're hearing. For example; 'when I start the PC it gives 2 short + 1 long beep'.

5 short beeps indicates a processor error. However, if it was booting normally prior to reinstalling the HD 7770, reset the UEFI/BIOS to the factory default settings by pressing the F9 key, followed by pressing the F10 key to save the changes and reboot. Post back with the result.

Tried what you suggested but it did not work, also the screen isn't displaying anything so I don't know when to start pressing F9.

Another method is to clear the CMOS, which also returns the UEFI/BIOS to factory defaults: First unplug the PSU power cord from the wall outlet, then hold down the case power button for 15 seconds. Now remove the CMOS battery for 3 minutes, then button everything back up and test if it'll POST successfully.

Make sure you didn't forget the video card's power connector, and try your card on both pci-express slots.

Pc started up normally now, thanks a lot guys you really helped me out, this forum rocks!

on a completely separate note this all started when I was trying to solve the problem of my GPU going into idle mode after 5 min of gaming, the temps are fine and I have tried changing drivers but this problem still persists.

do you guy have any ideas on how to solve this?

I run cross-fired MSI R7950 Twin Frozr's, and use Sapphire's excellent TriXX tweaking utility to disable the cards from going into idle, ever. It's excellent on any AMD HD 7xxx based card.

As a member of these forums, you are obliged to tell us how you got it working.

JK, but it would be helpful to others if you did.

Bubbaleone would be your go-to man for crossfire. I have never run more than one card at a time.

I just followed Bubbaleone's method word for word. just removed the CMOS battery and put it back in after 3 minutes and started the computer, worked flawless.

I did download TriXX but it isn't working for me, had the same issue with other overcloking software (Asus Tweak, MSI afterburner etc). it doesn't seem to work with my GPU.

At best the GPU will run on stock at full power for 5-10 min then it goes idle and my framerate drops from 60-70 on highest settings to 15-20, making the gameplay unplayable.
