Computer will not POST

Hey All,

Was wondering if anyone could help me out.

I recently built a new computer and all is well with that. Apparently, my older computer got upset at me and decided to die.

Computer will not POST. Computer powers up, fans spool up, but no POST screen and no error code beeps. Trying flashing clearing the BIOS but it does nothing. Any help appreciated in advance.

Anybody know if it is the mobo, cpu, or RAM? It isn't the video card since it works on another one of my builds.

And take it out of the case and hook up on essentials.

Intel Pentium 830D
ASUS P5ND2-SLI
4GB Corsair DDR2 667mhz
Western Digital 250GB SATA, 500 GB IDE
Lite-On DVD-R
XFX Nvidia 6800GT or BFG Nvidia 7600 GT

System wasn't overclocked and has been stable for quite a while. I ran into this issue when I tried swapping out the 6800GT card for a 7600GT card from another build I had. Tried swapping it back and still no joy. I believe I also tried the other PCIe x16 slot and it wouldn't post as well.

Yes.

I don't see how getting rid of the driver would effect getting to the POST screen?

Well are you getting any video display at all with either card?
I was going to say try one stick of RAM but if your getting the single "beep" at start up then all hardware should be functional.

What power supply does it have and if required do you have the power cable hooked up to the video card?

BLANK screen
NO Error Code Beeps
NO POST Screen

As for the power supply for the video card. I have an Antec 550W True Power. The 6800GT required a power cable from the power supply, but the 7600GT does NOT. It isn't a video card issue because I have another computer that I used to disavow that the video cards were the issue.

Thanx for all the replies btw.

I will try removing everything out of the case, although it will be a pain in the *ss to take everything out.
