Computer will not boot up anymore

I am wondering what is currently wrong with my computer: here are the specs below and what I have tried to fix it.

AMD x2 4000+ OC'd to 2600mhz, ASUS M2N-E 305 bios, 2gb DDR2 800 Corsair, x1900xt 512MB PCI-E, Rosewill 550W PSU (I believe it is a redbadged OCZ).

I tried to start up my computer the other night and it failed to post at all. The video card fan is at 100% speed the entire time I leave the power on to my computer (it used to boot up at 100% then slow down to about 20% speed upon getting past the bios graphics screen). So I replugged all the cords back in, reset the CMOS on my computer by taking the battery out and moving the jumpers to the reset position and restarted my PC. Still the same results. I am kind of confused... I also hear no beeps on my motherboard and the green light is on showing I have power to the MOBO. Does this sound like the motherboard is fried or could it perhaps be my video card? Let me know if you guys have any suggestions that could help me troubleshoot my computer.

Thanks,

Does it post anything on the screen at all?
Could be RAM or any other card goes on the MB.

I have the same problem with my 3 year old barebones system. One day it stopped booting. The LCD monitor says "No RGB input" and I don't hear any beeps from the POST process. The HDD LED stays solidly lit all the time, the Power LOED doesn't come on at all, the CPU fan comes on, the network card shows green LEDs, No BEEPs, but the DVD ROM and CD-ROM "Activity" LEDs blink like they were being tested during POST.

Could this be a sign of a bad power supply? This even happens after I changed the MB to a new one.

mobo is probably fried. I just ewnt throgh this last week.

try throwing another PSU and cpu into the board. if you are able to post still, buy a new one.

it could be one of a couple of problems, either your PSU is not generating enough power anymore to make it post, the PSU is dead, or your motherboard is dead, but try things at the bare minimum and see if it posts

Heres the specs on my PSU, the only other one available to switch-out is an old 350W PSU on my old Athlon XP computer. I don't think this will cut it. I am really led to believe it is the piece of crap M2N-E board. It is horrible.. had problems from day 1 with it.. I think it eventually just crapped out. It always had problems booting and hanging right after this bios graphics screen (10 seconds and then finally the windows logo would pop up...). I ordered this board Abit KN9 based on an n-force 4 chipset that also has the heatpipe. I'll let you guys know my results when I get it on Friday! Thanks for all the help.

I don't have much in my system, the only power hog would be my vid card. Only running one SATA hard drive. But.. do you think this is enough power? I thought a 550W could run an SLI system alright.

you should use that other psu to test out the motherboard.

all you want to do is see if it POSTS with another psu, not use it for everyday computing.
as was stated earlier, bring your components to the core components videa adapter, mobo, 1 stick of ram, cpu. that's i. if your mobo still does not post after the new PSU is connected then the problem lies with one of these components, most likely your motherboard, but the cpu is always a possibility as well.

Everything boots up fine now and is running stable:

I used that old PSU (350W Antec), picked up an old PCI-E video card and it booted up fine. Just replaced by old Rosewill PSU (will never buy those pieces of @$@% again...) with an Antec Trio 650W and all components are reconnected.

I learned my lesson: Never buy an off-brand power supply

And thanks for all your help.
