Computer Vision Syndrome

Does any one have this? Description

My eyes are always blurring out when I'm on the computer or sometimes when I'm reading printed material, books, etc.

WTH are computer glasses? Anyone have them?

Used computers for as long as I can remember.

Last year, I got checked out and failed a vision exam. Didn't even know I had bad eyesight.

Got checked out last year and I'm 25\20 (left) and 40\20 (right).

But a year later, I'm beginning to notice it alot more. Probably end up with contacts or glasses.

I definitely get that. At work, even after just one hour, my eyes get all fuzzy and I get a headache. I've found that looking away periodically at something that is far away or closing my eyes helps. For some reason I don't have this problem at home, perhaps because I have a good monitor.

check out the dates for the sources ..

What Are the Symptoms of CVS?

If you or your child spend more than two hours each day in front of a computer screen, you likely experience some degree of computer vision syndrome. CVS includes:

* Headaches
* Loss of focus
* Burning/tired eyes
* Double/blurred vision
* Neck and shoulder pains

What does neck and shoulder pains have ANYTHING to do with vision? 😕

My far sightedness went to shlt about 15 years ago. Night vision sucks as well. Within the past few years I noticed I can't see things up close (16"-21") very well either. As it turns out, the only distance I DON'T need glasses for, is the distance my monitor is from my eyes! If you're like me, your monitor is greater than arm's length away. Have the optometrist check your vision at that 24"-28" distance. Buy glasses just for that purpose, if it turns out you need them. Otherwise, it may be better to wear no glasses at all when viewing your monitor.

Edit: "What does neck and shoulder pains have ANYTHING to do with vision?"

Stress from trying to focus for long periods, will cause you to tense up those muscles without realizing it.
