Hey guys hhave a DFI lanpart.

The diagnostic lED's are going all red and my soundblaster x-fi card shows that little red lightning bolt indicating power

but I do not understand since I have an antec phantom 500 how their could be poewr issues

can someone help me please
thanks

the 4th power connected that uses the 4 pin molex
it's not in my manual either, i have hte 3 that it has there, the 4 pin by the 1st pcie port
the 2nd and 3rd being the 8 and 24 pin one.. now i'm just mad because hte diagnostic led's go 5 4 3 2 and then 1 then it shuts down!

I see, you have one with a different layout, the one shown here: http://www.pcstats.com/artvnl.cfm?articleID=1903 I don't have the manual for that one, so my suggestion is to get your manual out and pay close attention to what they have to say about power hookup. With that unusual (so far) 8-pin ATX12V receptacle, you'll want to note how they say to hook up to that.

i have read the manual smarty pants
and it doesnt tell me how to disect the diagnostic LED's or tell me why my damn Cpu turns off

so yeah it is and no it didnt help

look in the manual and locate the 4 power plugs.

hmm my tdx waterblock may not be iftted right
if an x24800 isn't cooled properly does it shut down within a minute then turns off instantaneously whe nyou turn it on if it has n o water block?

Have you tried booting with the bare minimums? 1 stick of ram, cpu+heatsink and fan(or water block in your case), video card. Disconnect hard drives, cd/dvd drives, the Xi-Fi, and any other PCI cards. And it would be helpful if you were to list your full system specs.

IT's a 4gb OCZ 2-3-2-5 platinm set.
1 DFI Lnaparty ut sli-dr nforce
2 7800 gtxs
1 xfi fatal1ty
plextor 716sa
amd 4800 + x2

I had an Antec Neopower 480 die on me a couple days ago. Damn modulars...and they are still selling them!

Everytime I turn the PS on I hear a constant high pitched sound. Argh.

Thats a very power hungry system, and you left out an extremely important part in your specs..the power supply...and trying with the bare minimums, will including removing one of the video cards as well.

You might have issues with the phantom, but what do I know. All threads on Antec PSUs are no longer available on AT. 😕

So have you tried any of my suggestions yet, such as booting with a single video card, and trying the bare minimums??????

Yes, and it was actually myincorrectly installed TDX

it is fixed now, thank you everyone for the wicked advice!

And I meanthat, Ilove you guys
