Computer Turning Off at Startup...

Recently when I turn on my computer in the morning, it boots into Windows as usual and like a few seconds after the computer just turns off. Its an abrupt shutdown - it just turns off, no Start -> Turn off Computer -> Shutdown kinda thing. After it does that, I press the power button but nothing happens. It just powers back up after a 30sec - 1min and is fine after that. This only happens in the morning. I turn off my computer at night and turn it on again in the morning. The computer works fine for the rest of the day.

There is power going to the computer because the LAN link and Activity light is on. But I'm wondering what could cause this problem and how to fix it. I'm afraid the computer might turn off while windows is loading and screw up the os or something. I'm thinking its the power supply or the mobo. What do you people think??

My System:
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton not OC
MSI K7N2 Delta-L nForce2 400 Ultra Mobo
Thermaltake Silent PurePower 360W Power Supply W007
512 MB of Kingston 2700 DDR
Rest of the Specs is in my Sig

Thanks for any help.

I'm not doing any OCing and I haven't seen any file corruption as yet. I think what I might do is just change the power supply and see how that goes. I'll probably get an Antec 350W PS or something. Since I don't have a lot of hardware in my computer, a 350W should be fine.

if you are planning a PC upgrade latter, then look at PSUs rated higher {esp on the 12 volt rail }. antec and enermax make quality units.

Just a thought !

Simple. Just don't let it get to startup and it shouldn't do it.

haha

Just installed the new PS so I should know tomorrow morning if that thermaltake PS was the culprit.
