Just curious to see if anyone in here has completed the course work here. I went to the hack job of an orientation today. So I want some thoughts.

Please, walk away now. Do you go to getrichquick.com as well? Or workfromhome.com? From someone else said on the forum it's ridiculously expensive. If you want A+, MCSE, etc.. it's much cheaper and probably more respected. I mean look at the place it looks very shady. Fvck that place, the only reason to spread the word is to talk sh*t about it. 😀


edit: Hell the website is COMPELTELY different than a week or two ago. All of the previous content is gone or hidden away. Now it's either you take the skills test and likely get hit with tons of enrollment crap, or you push/"teach" that garbage. I guess since college is starting again soon they need to get into recruit mode? It doesn't surprise me that their orientation was a hack job.
 
Let's just say I had a lot of free time today. The course is almost $27,000. There's no way I'd pay them that kind of money and not get a degree out of it. I just wanted to know if any one has gone through it.
 
That Computer Training company spout their damn "MCSE" commercials all the time here on the Baltimore radio stations. They still spill the same ******.. "Are you in a dead end job. With no computer experience required, come join our school, and become MCSE certified and begin earning the money you deserve, TODAY!".

What a crock of fvcking $hit!! $27,000 for the course? I assume that is for their MCSE 2003 track, right?

Thats ridiculous! Just buy the books, download trials of Windows 2003; download Vmware Server or MS Virtual Server and be done with it. MUCH cheaper, and you'll probably learn more.

Word. Some guys I know from the AF spent their MGIB money on one of those "MCSE in a week" programs. They don't know Active Directory from their assholes.
 
waste of money, at least they were about 3 years ago anyway.
just read through the other posts. wow, they want $27k now? definitely stay away. its not worth it, especially if its still the same operation as it was back then.

i went through it about 3 years ago and it was about $18k. 6 month course. the teachers seemed knowledgeable about the subjects and business but it was a pretty much get as much done as soon as possible. they also encouraged using test dumps and memorizing the tests.

i only went to MCSA cert because I was having trouble grasping SQL 2000 (thats what they taught at the time. i think the next class trained for the security test) and didn't think i could pass the test. the cert and training didn't get me anywhere.

i believe they removed the no pc experience needed part from the ad, at least here in pa they did. there was a guy or 2 in my class that knew nothing about computers.

i remember when 1st hearing the commercials they were spouting like $80k, then as time went on it kept dropping. they always said that it depended on the area and company though as a disclaimer. now they say at least $50k without the disclaimer. fvcking BS. they didn't even have the job placement when i went through.

all i got out of it was a $18k debt.
 
I just bought a book, read it the night before, went into a local testing center and got my a+ and mcp. I'm actually making a list of certs to go get this year because my work has some extra developmental studies money in the budget.
