Computer to LCD tv problems

Hey guys,

I have the Emprex HD-3201 32" http://www.emprex.com/02_products_02.php?id=78
I got it on sale at frys for 700 ;D

When I connect it to my laptop via the blue connector (the same one most monitors use) the picture is great, everything works well, but when I play a video on my laptop, it only shows up on the top half of the LCD tv. It changes the resolution on the Tv also. Is there anything I can to fix this


I'm using an inspirion 6000 w/ an x300 ati video card btw.

Set the resolution of your laptop to the same thing your tv supports.

Then close your laptop so it knows that it's using the LCD TV as it's main display.
