Computer taking longer and longer to boot

Welp, this first started out when my computer would boot through the BIOS normally, get to the Vista logo and then shut down. This would occur 2-3 times before it finally managed to get past the windows screen and make it all the way.

That was a little over a month ago, now it takes my computer an hours worth of boot up attempts before it will finally power on through. I dont know whats wrong, after it boots up once its fine for the next few hours and is very easy to shut down and boot back up. However, if I turn the computer off and come back 3-4 hours later the problem repeats. Any ideas?

Sounds like failing capacitors, either on your motherboard, or in your PSU:

donor psu? I dont know, I bought a replacement PSU 2-3 years ago after the first one died. Its about 500W, but if it was a PSU problem wouldnt it complain a lot when I ran games or something? The only issue seems to be the bootup
