I am building a new computer. I want some input in to what to get. I will get a amd xp2700 333.
What chipset and mobo should i get. I am mostly concearned about stabillity.
Should i get via or nforce?
One board i am interessted in is Gigabyte GA-7VAXP1.2, any input on that board would be appreciated.
For videocard i can spend about $150. Should i get radeon or Gforce?

the vast majority of people will recommend the nforce-2 board, and i count myself among their number.

asus a7n8x for mobo. for the video card, use what you got now and wait. the next few months is going to be very interesting. but i bought myself a 4200 to ride it out, probably a mistake, but when i upgraded the 3.3v voodoo5 would not work in a 1.5v agp slot:(

Or try out one of the nForce2 Abit NF7 boards. They offer alot of features and they're very overclockable.

I'm intrigued by the Via KT600 chipset, particularly the single channel mem controller with mem bandwidth that challenges the NForce2 boards.

I hope we'll see some reviews in June.
