Computer Stuck at Bootscreen

I had a power outage last night and when the power came back on, my computer gets stuck at the bios bootscreen. It doesn't detect any hard drives or my keyboard and mouse.

My motherboard is the EVGA X58 SLI and I checked the all motherboard LED lights are on which indicates if it's 1) receiving power, 2) memory slot are working, and 3) if the system is on.

I tried turning off my power supply and turning it back on but still stuck as bootscreen.

I don't know if it's the powersupply or if it's the motherboard? Any diagnosis?

If your PSU wasn't working, you wouldn't be able to enter the BIOS or even see a boot screen. Have you tried using the jumper to clear the CMOS?

Have you tried booting to another device such as a bootable Windows installation disk or a bootable flash drive? If either of those boots, the power outage may have corrupted your hard drive, or at least the boot sector.

If that's the case, the first thing you should do is connect your HD as a slave to another computer to see if you can read your files. If so, copy them to another drive so you can install them after you re-install Windows.

Do you mean "boot options" screen? (ie, BIOS, Hard Drive, CD, USB/other options)

Go into the BIOS and look around to verify readings, parameters and settings including boot order. (You should be able to see the HDD and memory/RAM registration.)

If you believe that the HDD is dead/defective, then change boot order to CD and see if you can boot from a Windows OS disk. If so, and the HDD wont register in the BIOS, then in all probability the HDD has been damaged.

Before throwing in the jock on the HDD, try clearing the CMOS.

Several times I have heard of dead SATA drives causing the computer to freeze here, but hopefully a CMOS reset is all you need.

Make sure you have nothing plugged into the PC but the essentials (display, keyboard).

See below for the pic of where it gets stuck. I tried pressing the CMOS via the onboard button but that doesn't do anything.

As you can see, it doesn't detect anything. No harddrives or keyboard and doesn't move beyond this screen. I can't even get into the SETUP or Boot Menu because the keyboard isn't detected.

Have you tried the clear CMOS yet? If that doesn't work, it's probably time to start disconnecting drives to find the culprit.

I tried resetting the cmos but no luck. Like you said, I'll have to disconnect everything and test each component to see what's causing it...
