Ok sorry bout the general post. um ok the other day it was really hot and i think the gpu overheated because my screen kept going black. now when i turn on my computer it goes up to just until the windows logo comes up and shuts off. does anyone know what my problem is?

it could be that the gpu is still overheating, or cpu is overheating and it turns off to protect the pc, coincidentally, during the process of loading windows. i'd think windows corruption with a quick blue screen flash but your saying it doesnt reboot at the windows load screen.

If your computer is on, first lets make sure the fan is spinning on the video card, and the fan for the cpu is also spinning 🙂

I had a similar problem when the fan on my video card quit functioning.
