Computer sound card help.

I wanna start using a microphone + webcame soon, but I need a sound card for the microphone. Does anyone know what brand of sound card I should be looking for? I'm not really looking for a really good sound card, just one thats good enough to run a microphone. Thanks!

You've got an Azalia 6-channel HD audio chipset on your mobo. Crawl around to the back and look for standard mini-jacks...then plug your mic into the pink one.

OOO!!!! I see the pink plug on the front AND back of my computer lol. Ok thanks. So if I have a purple plug thingy, that means I don't need a sound card? cool.
