I built my computer last year around thanksgiving. It worked perfectly fine until jan 2002. Since then, I've had all kinds of problems like my hardware went to h$ll. My computer won't even turn on. So, I bought new hardware. I bought a new motherboard, asus, AMD reccomended, and a 1.4 AMD Anthlon proccesor. Oh.....I also bought a new power supply, 350volts, thinking I fried my mobo and proc. So, once I ordered all my stuff and got it shipped to my house I put it together. I was very careful and gently. After I put the mobo and proc into my case I plugged in my power supply. Than my ram, cd-rom, dvd-rom, ect. After I was done putting my hardware into my case I tested it. IT STILL DIDNT WORK. So I checked if anything was grounding. Nope, nothing. Since then, I have been using my old Labtop. I dont know what to do.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME????:|:Q:|:Q:|:Q:|:Q:|:Q:|:Q:|:Q:|:Q:|:D:|:D:|:D:|:D:disgust::D:disgust::eek::disgust::eek::disgust::eek::disgust:

what exactly happens when you press the power switch? is there a LED on the mobo to let you know if you're getting power or not? do the fans spin up or does it act like you never even tried to power up? Could your power switch itself be broken?

Try booting (or attempting to) with only the Proc, memory and video.

OK heres what happens. When I hit the power switch it turns on then my monitor switch,the switch you press to turn on, turns green than yellow like its not acting properly. Its not my monitor or graphics card.

I had a similar problem recently, thought it was the mobo, power supply, and everything else before I realized the power switch/cable must have been causing it. Just picked up the Evercase from Newegg for ~$40 shipped and all was well.

It's not the case, this is my brother and I touched the power plugs and it still doesn't turn on. I just bought him a Enermax PSW and it still doesn't work. Well, through elimination it is the motherboard because everything else works. Move on people.
