We have this compaq, a black presario 2100. It was freezing in windows, so I ran a scandisk from a bootdisk, and it too froze, or so I thought.
The image on the monitor would freeze, but the system kept going. Once it would freeze, If I hit the suspend button, then unsuspended it, the scandisk would be finished with ZERO problems.
This microATX box has ZERO upgrade slots, so I can't stick in another video card, so what to do now?
