I'm working a job doing tech support right now for a company. They actually take contracts and do support for other companies. There doesn't appear to be much room to advance here, but the health benefits are free and pretty darn good. I'm making 40k+ right now, and still have a few classes to finish up for college.
I really enjoy programming but havn't done much of it in the last few years besides messing around with some php in my spare time. My wife is about to start working on her PHD which will probably take around 5 years. I think I should work up some goals to work on in those 5 years. I have considered going to grad school but Im not sure which area I want to focus in. Plus I think it will be easier if I wait until she is done. That way we have at least 1 person working full time.
I need to work on some project, or do something in my spare time at work besides surfing the net or trying to stay awake. Anyone else in this situation?
Thanks for the advice.
