Computer restarts after i disconnect

This problem has been bugging me for a while. I am thinking it may be a problem with my winmodem (yes i know, but it's the only thing that i have at this time). Right when i right click and disconnect, no warning, just a reboot. It doesn't do this all the time, just about once every two weeks. I've reformatted, reinstalled (numerous times), but it always does it, about that often. Any ideas?

I think it's time to start looking for a hardware problem.

The problem might be your winmodem's driver.. have you try to update it? or maybe try a controller based modem.

you're probably sharing an IRQ with your sound card or video card and that doesn't always work
