Computer "Restart" Creates Screen GARBAGE

Only happens on a "Restart", not a cold boot, etc.

Basically, everytime I select some prompt to restart my computer, once the screen goes black and the machine starts back up, I get total scrambled garbage on my screen until windows boots, and it boots fine.

You know, the screen that says AWARD BIOS, checks your RAM, and says "Hit DEL to run setup", yeah that is garbaged, the Windows loading screen is garbaged, and everything else is up until the Windows login screen.

After that, no problems. Cold boot, no problems.

What the heck is this? Artifacts? Not sure what is going on here. Any clues?

yeah dude thats kinda weird...i don't think its artifacts, because it only happens at that point right? i have a similar, though less serious problem every time i boot. when the windows loading screen fades in, it pauses half-way faded in for about 2 seconds every time i boot/reboot. it sounds to me like some little video glitch. nice rig btw.

Thanks brother.

Nice OC on your end. Way to get the most out of that XP. Good luck on a new video card - GT with Doom3 seems to be the way to go these days.

Peace,
