Computer related persuasive speech topic?

In my speech class, I need to give a persuasive speech. The professor told us to try to have the topic relate to something you enjoy. Well, I enjoy computers, but I'm having a hard time thinking of topics. It has to be about policy with immediate or passive action like "To persuade my audience that they should give blood" or "To persuade my audience that the government should make a law that..." Thanks for any ideas.

I've been thinking along the lines of "To persuade my audience to stop illegally downloading copy-righted material." However, this is a college class where almost EVERYONE downloads mp3, movies etc, so it will be difficult to prove that it is a problem that should be solved.

What about persuading computer users to protect their privacy? You can discuss the definition and use of firewalls, the pitfalls of setting one's browser to allow all cookies, etc.

You have any interests besides computers? People always try to pick something computer realted for topics for english/speech classes and end up spanding a LOT more time on reasearch than people who don't try to strech thier topic as much.

I've been thinking about it more. My topic now might be about the use of technology for security and identification. Basically, using DNA to identify people when they travel, vote or any other age limiting thing. I'm still thinking about it though. I can't use "X vs. Y" type of speech. Medea, I like your idea, too. Hmmmm.....
