I have a 120 gig Maxtor hard drive with 3 NTFS partitions. The following problem occured after windows xp performed some disk checking or repair on the partitions during startup. Right now whenever I double click on any of the files in either partitions, my computer will restart. What could be the problem here?
I used some diagnostic tool to check on the drive but no serious problem was detected. There was however a failed test associated with the bios extension of the drive. Is that the problem? How can fix all these?
