Computer randomly reboots.. in Win2k.. why?

Geforce 2 GTS

just randomly reboots..

Go to System Properties and uncheck Reboot on error. This will at least give you a chance to see what the problem is without Win2K automatically rebooting on you.

Check to see if your processor is not running too hot. I had the same problem and it was due to excessively high CPU temps.

Sometimes it randomly reboots with nothing running in the background, or at all..while im sleeping.
Heat is fine, and it's stable @ higher mhz than this.. (ran @ 1.1 for a day, i have an alpha).

I have hacked MX300 drivers with the new registry hack, but a Cruz is coming next week to fix that..

Well if it's stable at 1100MHz then the answers simple! Run it at 1100! Faster, and no random reboots.

BUT...

I suspect it still does the same at 1100, in which case I'll go with my original recommendation of stpeeing it down to 900 to see if it's ok. Get prime95 (do a google search) and run the torture test.
