Computer purchases for next fall.

I'm gonna be going off to college next fall, so I'll be in a need of a new computer. Granted I'm not gonna purchase anything right now, but based on the road maps what kind of technology will be out by this coming summer?
 
i'm liking nforce so far. an nforce 420 would be a good cheap system, an nforce 415-d + gf4 or gf4mx or gf3 of some sort would be real nice, looks like ddr will still be the standard, who knows what the best hdd will be by then, best sound card will still probably be santa cruz as far as quality goes, audigy platinum w/ that drive thing will be the winner for features, a 24x-32x or maybe higher for a burner, and other than that who knows!

whats the ETA on thoroughbread anyways?
 
I know that it'll run faster, it'll be manufactured on a .13micron scale, and it'll have SSE2 (which will allow much better comparison vs. Intel) And I think it'll feature a bigger pipeline, although not as big as Intel. Correct me if I'm wrong.
